Happy Fathers Day!

First of all Happy Fathers Day to all the dads out there! :)

This Fathers Day turned out very nice. First everyone gave their cards and gifts. Because it was really nice we went on a bike ride, although Sereina and Mamma stayed home because they didn't feel super good. Along the ride a lot of people passed us and I was beginning to wonder if there was some sort of marathon being run when about twenty riders passed us. When we got to the park I was somewhat stunned, yes there was a marathon and there must have been over a hundred people there! Not counting the people who kept on riding to finish up the marathon. We stopped a while at the check point, Daniel racing to the park, and Tiana, Daddy and I eating and resting in the shade. I don't know what temperature it was but seeing as I was bike riding and I didn't melt (that happens around 75, 80 degrees) then it must have been around 70.

When we got home what was waiting but some butterscotch cookies and peach cobbler, and it was gluten free! *squeel of delight* I'm so close, you see, I haven't eaten any gluten this year (if you don't count dreams where I eat it and freak out!) because I'm doing a test to see if I'm allergic. Sure, I could get a blood test but I absolutely cannot stand needles. I'm putting off blood tests until it's absolutely necessary! Anyways, I try gluten on July 1st.

Because it was nice out we got a fire going in out semi new fire pit! The best part was during the fire it started to thunder, I love thunder. In many ways it's so mysterious, loud noised coming from nowhere. I like to write and something about thunder storms are so inspirational.

Lastly to end the day we watched T.V. before bed. As everyone made their way to the their rooms I noticed Doji on the back deck, walking toward the sliding glass door. He was walking bow legged with something stuck on his back left paw. I let him in and after scooping him up discovered he had one of those stick rat traps on his foot! (At first I though it was for bugs, I didn't know there were things like that for rats!) Anyway, Doji didn't like us pulling it off his foot, I'm guessing it hurt because it was pulling at his fur. Some how he managed to get it stuck on his entire back foot, not just the padding of his paw. Of course there was sticky stuff all over his foot and in order to get it off we had to soak his foot in water. I've never seen him look so scared, even when he was at the vet before he never looked quite like he did when his foot got wet.

Indeed, this will be a Father's Day to remember

Writing Stuff

Well, I though I'd talk a little about one of the books I'm working on. This one is currently called Ghost Train and in case you didn't guess I'm trying to come up with a better name. :) Here are some concept pictures I pinned to Pinterest. It's going to be a novel and maybe a series or trilogy so I need to keep all this stuff together!

Below is a picture of the main character, Nora. Basically this helps me know what she looks like. I'll let you know little about her, she works at a museum and is 19-20 years of age.

Now because this novel is going to include a lot of history I need pictures of  things like this dress for reference. For this novel I'm going to need to know a lot about late 1800 life.

Here is just a photo that might inspire something. Plus I like the over all atmosphere, no busy city's.

Lastly a picture of an old general store. In this story people are going on a train riding vacation and will stop in an old ghost town. At lease for now, everything can change when writing a novel.

That about sums up the basic story setting. I'll reveal move in another post, and possibly a prologue I've been working on. Of course other then the main plot things will be changing so nothing is hard set.

And that's the end of another post! :D

What I've Been Up To

Well, nothing amazing has happened lately and though it hasn't even been a week I feel like posting.

I've been drawing about one picture a day and just yesterday (or was it the day before?) I completed my first full body drawing of a wolf or dog. I haven't decided yet. :) I think it turned out really well, especially considering it was my first full body drawing. Then I was sorta messing around and I drew a close up of a wolf howling. I added stripes and made it a tiger wolf and now it looks like a hornless elk. :P

Yesterday and today Daniel and I watched a Nancy Drew blind play through on YouTube. Of course it was done by the well know Arglephumph who does walk thorough's of all kinds. Not only does he play the game but he does the funniest commentary along with it. He's done every Nancy Drew game and keeps up with all the new ones too. Michael Gray, the guy who does all this, was even offered a job as a game tester by Her Interactive the Nancy Drew game people. But he didn't feel it was time to move to Seattle. (Yes, these games are made near where I live! :D)

I guess that about all I have to say for now, until next time!

Up and Running!

Well here I start a blog! I haven't done blogging for a few years so it has and will take a while to master the tricks of the trade. :) Seeing as I just started I'm not sure what to post so I'll just give a general update as to what I've been doing.

Writing, I really like writing. I'm currently working on one novel, one story and research for yet another idea. Just because I listed three doesn't mean I don't have many other ideas! Over the years I have started at least 20 stories and didn't finish them. Of course that doesn't mean I got very far, some are only a paragraph long.

About a week ago I picked up drawing. Having not done much drawing for a year or two I didn't expect much. But since I'm now using reference pictures my drawing has improved greatly! Of course I use coloring sheets and screen shots from animated movies for reference but that's the way I like to draw.

I obviously cannot forget that I'm just overcoming a cold. Sorta, I'm still coughing a bit but overall I feel a lot better then yesterday and the day before.

Well, I guess I'll continue watching Star Wars Episode VI Return of the Jedi. The Battle of Endor is already raging, the Rebels are barely holding out until their attack on the second Death Star and Luke is meeting his destiny. I'll bet you can't tell I like Star Wars. ;)
